bruh i hope this series has some NanoFate moments because that is the best couple EVER
I'll get my aspirin ready just in case.
I was able to watch the anime myself and so far it looks pretty much like the manga: a bit dry but overall harmless and with potential to at least be entertaining. However if the opening is any warning I can tell they are following the train wreck the manga calls “plot”. So I expect this to not be very good.
Then again is neat to see Nanoha in animated form and to be fair the first volume of ViVid wasn’t too bad. I will give them credit on the way they structure the episode however. Both the original and A’s knew to end their episodes in cliff hangers that actually makes you wonder what will happen next, while StrikerS make me believe the first episode was a weird prologue that would never be bring up again. So yes, I give credit where credit is worth. And come to think about it, I never review these chapters like I did later ViVid ones. Might consider doing that later.
OK, i just got done watching the first episode of the series, first i think that the animation is just OK, but nothing special. 2nd while we did have a Takamachi family moment, Vivio states that Fate mama and Nanoha mama are just best friends, so this does not help the NanoFate Fan movement (Myself Included) which really sucks. hopefully we will get some more of this type of thing in the future, but i really doubt it, as this series will be about the kiddies and the adults will become secondary to the story, but a person can dream right?
Wait, they started dating in their teens? Where does it say that? I thought the series and the creators were always ambiguous as to what their relationship was. (VAs don't count as accurate sources to me).
I believe she meant they have been referred to as a "too close to be friend" by the fan. I even believe their Voice Actresses, Nana Mizuki and Yukari Tamura, said themselves Nanoha and Fate's relation was ambiguous. I'm not suite sure tho, I have a vague memory of this saying.
They talk about them like the couple they're as for as far as I remember, you probably know this image that is older than I can remember, after that NanoFate has been only bolder. Also we should probably try to keep this out of the Vivid anime thread.
I think that was it! And yes, we shall.
I need Nanoha the Movie 3rd Reflexion. I need it. I NEED ITTTT... along with Vivid, ofc.
Sorry, i did not mean to open a can of worms by saying what i did
I don’t like to be the rain in the parade here, but if we are talking about ViVid it isn’t that much of a parade to be honest, but there aren’t that many “great” Takamachi family moments.
Not only because the manga has been stubborn about putting Nanoha’s name in the tittle but not the real Nanoha in its pages, but mostly because after the… I will call it the Training Saga, they spend too much time with everyone else.
And even then the Training Saga needed a moment to make us all believe Fate, Caro and Erio are indeed a family.
But I guess we take what we get, which isn’t much.
And even then the Training Saga needed a moment to make us all believe Fate, Caro and Erio are indeed a family.
I don't think my brain will ever process the fact that Fate adopted Erio and Caro. I don't really like this fact to be honest... I may be selfish but, gosh, for me the only legit family is Nanoha Fate Vivio... orz.
technically Fate didn't adopt Erio because she was too young at the time so Erio was officially adopted by Lindy
Upon his first meeting with Fate, he attacked her with lightning, too, but she stopped the attack with her bare hands, finally breaking his resistance. Since she herself was too young to officially adopt him at the time, he was instead adopted by Lindy Harlaown, with Fate becoming his guardian.
with Caro Fate is listed as her guardian aswell while with Vivio she is her god mother but in the mind of a very young Vivio that probably just means second mama. being called Feito-mama all the time might just drill it into Fate's mind she is a proper mother to Vivio while with Caro and Erio she only needs to give parental consent when needed (ie. recruitment into the TSAB)
i'm just going by what the wikia has listed but i love the idea that Nanoha and Fate got married between StrikerS and ViVid.
as for Caro the Wikia says
After hearing about Caro's past, Fate decided to take her in and become the girl's guardian. In the beginning, circumstances prevented Fate and Caro from living together. Instead, the girl started to live and work at a wildlife preservation area in the TSAB-administrated world No. 61, Supools, where she discovered that her talent as a summoner also helped her to deal with all sorts of animals. Caro remained there until she was invited to be part of the Riot Force 6.
as for Fate taking in children
She is especially driven to solve incidents similar to the one that happened with her mother, and ensure that other children do not have to suffer like she did. Fate tends to worry about others fairly often, especially Nanoha in wake of the incident in which she was nearly crippled, and her children, Erio, Caro and Vivio.
so it doesn't say how she "solves" said incidents but interesting though that it says that Caro and Erio are her children
From the lack of response regarding the latest episode I suppose that half the community died from cuteness overload during "that" scene?
*blush* Thanks for the approval. I will do my best.
The bath scene was almost too much for my heart, dat overwhelming cuteness...(X_X)
Let's see, I predict the anime will have maybe 2 seasons, maybe 3, and each season will consist of 12 episodes in each of them. That's just my guess based on how some of these animes go, but I could be wrong.
First episode was kinda average in production values but it was nice to see all those familiar faces. It felt like meeting with an old friend I haven't seen in a while. What made me very glad was Eingart VS. Nove the fight looked pretty good, a bit different from the 7arcs fights but good in a different way. This scene was specially important to me because it's the first serious fight which will help me to form expectations for all the fights to come. Personally I think that despite the flaws of the ViVid manga there are several fights that are really good. I'm now way more excited for the tournament to start and see highlight like Miura's Starbright Blade, Corona's Nephilim Fist, Victoria crushing Chantez and, of course, the champ. Really waiting for Sieglinde now.
I've been kinda delaying the inevitable and not watching this show yet (plus I've been busy) but maybe I will soon.
Maybe i would rather have a new series of Nanoha that will really have focus on her. Just like nanoha, a's or striker (though this one is also focused on others). But at least, not like vivid, or even worse, Force. Vivid is still in the 'okay' state, bcs at least, Vivio is the daughter of Nanoha and Fate. While force is.. bringing a new character from idk where and just add Nanoha as an additional. It's okay to have plot, but don't forget the main character from the title geez.
I'm more disappointed with how little screentime Fate has.
It's called ViVid for a reason. Fortunately the new cast gets better as time goes on (unlike FORCE).
Episode 1 of the Vivid anime came out today, it looked pretty good to me, I loved how they handled the Takamachi Family moments, Vivio is so sweet and almost gave me a heart attack when I hear her say Nanoha-mama and Fate-mama again. I don't know when subtitles are going to come out, hopefully soon.
